It is the eighth day, rather the eighth night, of the “Nine Nights” festival, the Navratri. Being in an ITES industry is not an excuse for not celebrating this pre-Diwali (a festival of lights), major festival. So on this eighth night of the holy Navratri, we celebrate the tradition of Garba, a group dance performed on devotional songs, after a brief devotion to goddess Durga.

Yet again, we had a fun day this Saturday!
This time, we decided to have some fun and at the same time gain some knowledge. For that reason, we had a QUIZ! Not just ordinary though. Questions were prepared (with a lot of efforts) for topics ranging from current affairs to IT, and well, history to geography and all sort of other things.
The setup was made early in the morning; monitors were set, tables were arranged and buzzer...
August 1947, Our Independence Day, A day when the Union Jack was brought down, and our tricolor fluttered high at Red Fort. It was accomplished by great efforts made by martyrs like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhai Patel, Subhas Chandra Bose, Moulana Abdul Kalam Azad, Bhagat Singh, Chandrasekhar Azad, and many others. It was an occasion of jubilation for the entire nation.
